Well there we go for today and tbh it was as much if not more wasted time than it should have been, I got there and stood at reception and the receptionist looked away talking and put her hand out and just chatted to the other. Handed over my form and sat down.
I knew something wasn’t right after I’d been waiting about 30 mins as normally they are pretty quick, but with normal appointments an hour an hour and a half is pretty normal so I just waited. I was supposed to be getting an x-ray at 9.45 and see the surgeon at 10… 10.45 I noticed the nurse with the list going over to reception and then reception going to the filing cabinet and picking up a file and handing it over.
As if by magic my name got called straight after and I went straight in to see the surgeon. He commented about normally having an x-ray before but will have to go after “yeah reception didn’t put the notes in the pile and left them in the cupboard”. I wasn’t gonna get the blame of anything.
Anyway told me nothing new, but at least I have a face to the name and vice versa and asked if I had any questions, which I don’t. Told him in November they had said about them wanting to do it following the next IGG that at the time was in 4 weeks but I got the call to see him instead. He said about aiming to get it done in February possibly the 9th but I don’t quite trust that, maybe it’s with being told in November that it would be four weeks, maybe it was the appointment with him being postponed 3 times and a total of 7 weeks, or maybe it was reception being useless and making me wait an hour for no reason. I just have zero faith or trust in the place and if I had any realistic options I would have walked out and went elsewhere.
Went round to get the x-ray and it was agony, my legs no longer move enough to get into the positions that they needed and what I was able to get close to was just so sore. Eventually at 11.30 I was walking/limping out, on the way home I stopped to get food for the next few days but really struggled walking. I was in so much pain but I made it home and now I’m also getting loads of cramps and am tired and sore and just annoyed with the whole day.
I don’t have anything I have to do, not like it’s any different from normal but it will take a while to relax and the pains to subside and then I’ll hopefully be able to have a nap, or I can struggle the rest of the day without a nap and try to get a good sleep tonight.
Apart from today’s carry on I’ve managed a few different things, yesterday I was looking at ways to make the website interact a bit better, or at least the functions within it look a bit better but I ended up sidetracking myself and creating a forum which has turned out well but not really sure it’ll be any use.
The blog itself is now also on insy.ie and insyplex here will also continue with the lanspics ones but insy.ie is shorter to remember pity insy.uk wasn’t available otherwise I would have went for that.
I’ve been reading a bit more again, I have seemingly been slacking a little for a while but it’s been nice to get back into it, mostly due to there being more cricket and football on at the same time, Films I’ve continued to watch and I watched the Canadian Traitors, which I’ve felt has been the best series, and also the new Hell’s kitchen S22, just the final to watch hat but it’s just more of the same and very american.
I completed Metal Gear Solid, I got it for the Switch and have enjoyed it, lots of it I don’t remember and have followed on and been playing Metal Gear Solid 2, I also have the 3rd one to work through after. But with starting reading again a bit more I’ve started slacking at the gaming haha, just not enough time in the day.
Hopefully the next time I’ve anything to report it’ll be about the hospital getting in contact with me for me to use my new hospital bag that I got a couple of days ago. It’s just a carry-on by it is more appropriate than the training bag that I was using before which although useful was too big.
